I apologise that it's probably a nightmare for people to try to remember or pronounce if you don't speak Finnish :')

"Harakka" means magpie, and "varpu" means twig, hence my nick name.

I go by Twig on the internet. I’m some queer nerd who loves comics, cartoons, fantasy and nature.

My preference in pronouns fluctuates from time to time, but "he" and "they" are always ok to use. Right now I prefer he/him exclusively, but I won't scorn "they" either.

I’m an aspiring creative, but I have a crippling strain injury that has developed into chronic pain that greatly limits the time I can spend on creating. I hope I can one day heal. I miss the days I could get lost in drawing for hours and not be in pain.

I enjoy many creative medias:

• Drawing/painting Probably my first medium. I shifted from traditional to digital about 10 years ago, but I still love watercolor painting and sketching with pencil.
• Writing I’ve always made stories in my head, and at one point I used to write a lot. Nowadays I rarely do, outside of roleplays.
• Comics!! I love comics! Probably my favorite art form. I love reading them, and making them! I rarely get to, though, because they are so much work 😅
• Paper crafts and other handicrafts I used to do a lot of messy paper crafts and other crafting as a kid. I never learned properly how to knit or crochet, but I loved felting at one point!
• Journaling A very recent hobby of mine. I enjoy it a lot, but I also get too lazy to keep up with it at times :’D
• Music I love listening to music, and though I have minimal musical education, I’ve tried making my own songs a few times.
• Animation Oh boy I love animation! I wish I could make animatics and little animations often but they require a lot of time and effort too 😅
• 3D modelling/sculpting This is something I learned at school, and I properly began enjoying it when I modelled my own OC. I want do it more and get better.
• Web building Ironically, I hated my website assignment at school, but my friend inspired me to make a site for myself, just to play around and have fun. When I don’t have any rules and I don’t have to worry about search engine optimising and other crap, I actually love this.

I'm a bachelor of arts, and I recently graduated from a game graphics program, although our graduation title was more of an "all-around media services provider".

I like video games, but I’m a very casual gamer, and I can only focus on one at a time. I do enjoy watching others play, too.

I love animals, and nature, but I’m not the biggest fan of sleeping in a tent or going for long hikes with a heavy rucksack 😅

I’m probably some sort of neurodivergent, based on how I’ve always felt like I’m weird, but luckily I’ve usually had fellow weirdos to hang out with.

In all honestly, I made this site first and foremost to set up pages for my OC playlists 😂

My playlists are in chronological order, so they kind of tell the story of my characters, and I go a little nuts when I listen to them. I want to make pages where you see the song names etc., and can play the songs if you want to, and can also open tabs that explain why this song is on this character's list, highlights lyrics that match the character oh so well, and so on.

Yeah, that's the founding reason of this website.

But y'know, as I thought what else I could put up here, the more ideas I got and the more fun it seemed. (I mean, the oc playlist idea was already fun but mostly it just makes me feral.)

Now, I want to share not just the stories of my characters, but also archive some tumblr posts that I'd otherwise lose, share useful links, and promote artists I admire, to mention a few things.

The target audience of this website is still primarily me, and my close friends whom I'm going to make read through my OC pages xD

However, I hope the site can provide some amusement and perhaps even aid for the curious web surfer as well :3
